Hello Pirates!!

I hope you and your families had a restful and fun summer!! We are glad to have you back at school ! My name is Mrs. Aldridge, school social worker/ counselor for Ray Childers Elementary School. I know many of you, but some of you are new to our school this year! For those who don't know me, let me tell you what I do at our school.

I help support our students, their families, and our staff in the academic and social/emotional development of our students. I am available to help students and their families with resources and support. I work closely with school staff, students, and their families to meet the needs of our students and help them be successful in school!

I went to college at Appalachian State University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. I have over twenty years experience working with children and their families. My husband, Bill and I, have two daughters, Addison and Ava. I have four dogs, Daisy, Zeus, Lilly and Baby. I also have two cats, Big Kitty, and Tina. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, the beach, traveling, gardening, spending time outdoors and exercising/ running.

I look forward to partnering with you to support your child with their academic and social/ emotional development and success!
